Chardonnay
The Chardonnay grows on a gentle east-facing slope of granite and clay. This vintage saw an extended 24 months in neutral oak barrique, on full lees, topped regularly. The nose has a spicy phenolic character, the palate a richness of butter and hazelnut, the long barrel-ageing allowing hints of oxidation and tertiary complexity. Bottled with 30mg/l SO2.
