Gevrey Chambertin ‘Combes du Bas’
Pinot Noir
The fruit comes from a superb small climat right in the centre of the village at the bottom of the slope. Partly de-stemmed fruit vinified in tank and aged in barrel for 12 months, four barrels were made, with no new oak. This is sweetly perfumed with rich, generous red fruit and gorgeous, chalky tannins. The finish has the textbook Gevrey-Chambertin spice.
