Maison A&S
Alexandre Aires and Pierre-Alexandre Soltana met 10 years ago at a dinner party hosted by friends and instantly hit it off. They were at the same stages of their career and not only became great friends but were there to lean on each other through the good and tough times. After much deliberation, they decided in 2018 to start their project Maison A&S. This is really a micro-producer. In their first year they made about 1500 bottles featuring Burgundy Aligoté and Hautes Côtes de Beaune Rouge. In the 2019 vintage, they added a red Maranges and are working on adding several different wines over the coming years.
Pierre-Alexandre has worked for Comtes Lafon for more than 10 years. Here he started as a vineyard worker and now he performs all the tractor work in the vineyards and some cellar work. Alexandre has worked for 8 years for Domaine De Bellene owned by Nicolas Potel. Here he performs all the cellar work with wine production and helps in the vineyard during pruning and the summer work in the fields. Maison A & S ‘philosophy is to work in harmony with nature to get the best fruit under the most perfect conditions, to make the best wine to bring people together and share about it and always try to make it better. For now they buy their grapes from organic producers who are also their friends but are in the process of beginning a lease for the 2022 growing season. In the cellar they make no additions other than small amounts of sulphur, all wines are natural ferment and remain unfiltered.
